I was dying for coffee after not drinking it for days so i ordered my usual hazelnut latte.
My diet of porridge and soupy stuff finally made progress to sandwiches too. i couldn't finish the veal thing but it was nonetheless satisfying.
We went over to arab street after that to shop for kebaya. There's this shop called toko aljunied which has a range of peranakan kebaya. The staff there were really nice and gave me several pieces to try on. The lady was so nice that she even gave me the broaches for free (costs $22 originally).
And this was what i wore for racial harmony day....
Anyway, since we were in that area, we decided to walk around haji lane which has shops that never fail to amaze me. Even xue mei who doesn't do much shopping got some cute stationery. There's even one shop which had two fat cats. So cute! i just couldn't resist stroking their pretty fur.
Saw these redbull truck and car when we got out of the shop. Cool! i don't know why but there were so many people taking photographs that day.
In any case, we had a conversation with Kat about our kebaya shopping and this was what she said.
Gosh Kat. The thoughts of an ethnically unaware teacher-to-be. Why am i not surprised? x:
