I miss HK and all the good food!
HK Day One
Had difficulty sleeping and ended up with only 1.5 hours of sleep. Woke up at 3.30 am and daddy sent me to terminal 3.
Met up with Delia to check in at 4.45 am, which was 2 hours before our flight. A very sleepy me tried to get some sleep on the plane but it was just too uncomfortable. Felt bad for constantly disturbing the guy beside me. Hur hur.
Reached HKIA and dumped our luggage with their baggage counter before going for some shopping at citygate outlets.
The funny thing was, we got a free bus ride because we didn't know that we had to top up our octopus card before use. We were frantically tapping our cards but the bus driver ignored us and continued driving. HAHAHA.
Anyway, the shopping mall's mascot is so freaking cute!
It looks like a heart-shaped tooth lol.
We cleared the place pretty fast as it was really small. Topped up our octopus card (minimum 50 HKD) and went back to the airport to have lunch at crystal jade...
Sweet and sour fish and ramen for the two of us. We are small eaters tsk tsk!
Checked in at langham place hotel around 3 pm. Totally love the view from our 30th storey room!
After a much needed shower and rest time, we took the MTR down to..
.. and walked over to avenue of stars after dinner. Took some pics around the area before our light show began.
The peninsular hotel, which looked gorgeous with all those lights!
Avenue of stars! Heard from vava that there's nothing to see in the day so i strongly suggest visiting here at night.
It made us feel like some award-winning movie directors...
And i love the little film strip! Damn. i should have done a star jump here.
The stars wahaha! i love this pic! Its always best to approach DSLR-carrying guys (without GFs, lest we get killed).
A symphony of lights, staged daily at 8 pm, involves 23 participating buildings on hong kong island.
Took a slow walk back to TST station after the show and stopped by along the way for some photo-taking!
At 1881 heritage. Loads of people were there to take pics. And i quote Delia's words, SCARY SHIT!
Along salisbury road, opposite YMCA.
Chupa chups lolly outside iSquare.
One thing i love about HK is their efficiency. Not only do they have express trains and lifts, there's also an express escalator (albeit a really long one) from langham mall to our hotel lobby.
That saves us the trouble of climbing up 4 levels. And because starbucks is conveniently located, it was my bestest friend during the trip.
Iced black tea for company as i nua in front of the black box.
Langham hotel has the nicest pillows that cast a sleeping spell on you. Needless to say, i was able to fall asleep really fast. Sheesh.
