nothing is.: Cafe Time

Ever since i fell in love with big breakfast, coffee and tea, i've had a thing for cafes. i used to think that singapore's cafe scene is boring until the uncovering of local cafes, thanks to cafe hopping singapore. And also a bunch of cafe lover friends who brought me to new places!

For the month of Feburary, i managed to visit four cafes. Weekends are too short :(

1. Little Part 1 Cafe

Buddy and i had a little difficulty locating the place as the cafe is a little obscure. There wasn't a proper pavement to walk on and we had to stick to the curb of the road.

My first impression was that it looked very out of place in a row of old shops. The interior looked even more out of place with the indie theme and chinese new year decorations lol!

It was still the CNY period so yea... And being a sunday, there were a few kids around too. i'm not particularly fond of crying kids, especially at a supposedly quaint and quiet cafe. Anyway...

Food was so-so. i probably won't go back again for the noms. Even my hazelnut coffee was a disappointment. But their hot chocolate with marshmallow was really good!

Perfect BBQ marshmallows! Too addictive.

2. Canopy Garden Bar

At bishan park. It was a really hot sunday afternoon when we reached and we had to wait for our queue number. There were a lot of doggies and i felt like i was in some ang moh land. For a moment, i felt like i was in NZ. But it was too hot to be true.

Probably the most expensive brunch i've had. Spent 40 bucks on fries (which was shared), grilled breakfast and a glass of fruit juice.

Food was alright. Will consider going back in the morning the next time, if the weather isn't too hot. i wish i could bring Geri here too!

3. Tiramisu Hero

I finally checked it out, and with my dad! Haha. i love the cute cafe and how they use fake grass for their lawn entrance. Instant love at first sight with this place!
