I had actually searched for recommended restaurants before my trip because i wanted to plan his birthday. Although i usually prefer not to be the planner (because i'm too darn lazy), i like planning for special days. It makes me happy when the plan goes well :)
So. We went to auckland skycity's orbit restaurant for his birthday lunch and were lucky enough to get a window table. The view was awesome and the rotation was so subtle that we didn't feel dizzy.

Birthday boy seemed to enjoy the view too. Either that, or he's just stoning, hehe.
We went for the two course lunch, which consisted of an appetizer and a main course. i got the calamari while he ordered the pork belly which was super nice! We both got the same mains and i swear, it's the best steak i've eaten so far.
Definitely a memory worth commemorating. The waitresses were so nice and asked if we wanted a photo together. Great service!
We also had free entry passes to the sky tower observation deck but we didn't spend much time there as we've gone up before. Besides that, we were also given complimentary parking. Extra love!
