Anyway, xue mei and i were really dying to go for the fan meet and we (more of her) went through a pretty painful process.
Watsons had a priority sales yesterday where watsons members who spent $100 in a single receipt were entitled to purchase a pair of tickets at any SISTIC outlet.
The day before, we went shopping together and asked our friends if any of them wanted anything. Well, we managed to hit the amount and were given this pretty in pink moustachio.
I looked and was happy then, but...
Yesterday's watsons priority sales was totally crappy. As i had school, Ping queued up for us at SISTIC tampines mall. Sales only started at 10 am but she reached at 9 and was the tenth person in the queue. At 11 am, the queue did not move as the group in front took a long time to discuss and decide, which held everyone up. Angry people at the back scolded the SISTIC staff ><
Firstly, it was quite crazy for category 1 tickets to be sold out so quickly as the website indicated that they would release 800 tickets for all categories.
Secondly, many were faced with the dilemma of leaving the queue in search of better luck or getting lousy seats. We felt that there really wasn't a point in getting anything below category 2, so we just dealt with it.
Today, we started camping at the SISTIC website before 9 am and expectedly, we couldn't enter. They implemented this queue system which i've no idea how it works. After refreshing many times, i finally got in at 9.01 am but there were only category 4 tickets left.
I was undeniably frustrated until Ping told me that she managed to get category 1 tickets with autographs! i swear i was in a surreal state (as i was still very sleepy too). Reality only set in when she forwarded the confirmation receipt to me.
It was really a test of fastest finger first but at least we got what we wanted. Otherwise, we would have joined the ranks of angry RM fans.
