I love rainy days when i'm home and rainy days get me into the writer's mood.

I'd wanted to blog about Legoland Malaysia but it wasn't exactly the most exciting thing. Still, the weekend getaway was refreshing and there were stuff that we enjoyed.

Legoland Malaysia

It was actually a 2D1N deal that we got from insing which included hello kitty and an overnight stay at a 5 star hotel.

We gathered at kovan hub to board our coach and it was surprisingly comfortable. Citiskies had informed us to bring cap and sunblock to expect a hot day at legoland but the weather was good, thankfully! It was cloudy the entire day and only rained when we left.

Kat and Ping rented a locker to put their laptops (the poor girls had to bring their work over to do) and the rates are pretty expensive.

Most of the rides were for kids and we trolled along in search of suitable attractions for youngsters young adults.

A sad-looking Kat who tried to 'fit' into the height limit.

Our star of the day who shamelessly posed in a family-friendly park. HAHAHA.

The reason why pigeons aren't use to send letters anymore.

We decided to randomly queue for our first attraction called Lost Kingdom Adventure, which adopts an egyptian theme.

It turned out to be an indoor laser shooting game where we sat on a slow-moving car.

We were supposed to aim at the yellow dots to get points and the legos will start moving. The game was a little kiddy but i bet kids will definitely love it.

Next, we went to Dino Island which is a wet ride nearby. The queue moved very quickly and i personally enjoyed this ride the most. The drop got us all drenched but it was really fun! The plunge wasn't too steep but was enough to get us screaming.

View of the ride taken from the Observation Tower.

The happy ones on board.

Lego Studios which is a 4D show was really boring. i was expecting something similar to the USS shrek show but i was so wrong. The effect mainly came from gusts of cold wind and foam. The wind was so chilly because our shirts were still half-drenched after the wet ride.

Evidence of that wet patch. And from this angle, the picture looks a little obscene >.<

One of the more thrilling rides in the park was Project-X.

The first drop is a pretty steep one...

After which everything seems like an anti-climax because the remaining route is so mild. Then again the rides are supposed to be kid-friendly.

Our last ride for the day was The Dragon. Being the only decent roller coaster, the queue was quite crazy. It looks deceptively empty at first...

But the queue is really all around, hidden inside the castle.

People, people, everywhere.

And this was exactly how i felt at that point. At  least there were some lego stuff along to way to keep us entertained for 40 minutes...

Kat as usual being funny.

This seems like a better maybank advertisement than the original one, no? Keke.

I was quite intrigued by the elaborate wizard-theme decorations inside the castle before our roller-coaster made its round. They really should build a harry potter lego park since they are selling harry potter lego keychains.

Miniland was personally an eye-opener for me with all the impressive famous landmarks around the world, made of lego...

Group pics from the day...

There were quite a few game booths around too and in the last half hour, Ping won a big moo moo plushie on her first attempt and was so sweet to give it to me.

Twas was my company of the night at KSL hotel. After being scanned at the customs and lugged back, its now sitting in my room :)
