After legoland, we checked in to KSL hotel and went for dinner at...

Arashi Shabu Shabu

Located at KSL mall which is linked to our hotel via the lobby. We waited 30 minutes for a table which was alright as we spent the time exploring the mall.

Shared the pork and beef shabu set with Ping. Being the cooking mama in our group, she naturally took charge of the cooking which is a very good thing because i know that our food is in good hands :)

There were lots of sauces to choose from and these were selected by Kat. My fave was the arashi special sauce. Spicy!

Our pot of flavourful, sweet soup. We were still hungry and decided to order an additional XL plate of boneless beef rib which was really good!

For all these, each of us only paid less than 15 SGD. i would have liked to try their desserts if not for oyster king.

As recommended by a number of food bloggers, we ordered their garlic oysters which comes in a set of 3 for 6 RM. Quite good but a wee bit overrated.

Breakfast at KSL was unsatisfying. Firstly, the place was too small to accommodate all the guests. Tables were uncleared and the place was stuffy. Everyone was waiting for tables and queuing up for food. The egg station was located outside, which was sunny and the stack of plates felt as if they were freshly taken out of the microwave oven. On top of that, food was horrible and the only decent food was this...

Yes, hash brown can never go wrong, can it?

We didn't eat very much and were in need of decent coffee. Thankfully for KSL mall which opens at 10 am, we managed to get some comforting coffee from this 1651 cafe.

They have breakfast menu as well with simple food like toast and noodle soup. Damn. We should have skipped breakfast and walked over instead.

I'm quite reluctant to post about hello kitty town because it was a rather traumatising experience. Screaming kids, scary adults. We literally went without food until we got to singapore. Have some decent food facilities before you open the park, can or not?

I swear, i almost went ballistic.
