As a qualified teacher. i was really heartened to read the messages from my form class. Being my first ever form class, they apologised for being a naughty bunch and said it made them sad when i sometimes scolded them with teary eyes, haha. i never knew what it was like to see myself through their eyes and i'm encouraged by their words.
The sweetest surprises from students i never expected from. A self-written class poem, hand-made cards, gifts from my dyslexic student and even the trouble-maker who always 'made my day', really touched me deeply. And to my non-form class students, though i've not as much in your lives, i'm really happy that i'm deserving enough to be a recipient of your gratitude.
You guys made my first year of teaching a memorable one, especially when i felt i wasn't good enough. Thank you for the adventures and of course, the misadventures. Every one of you matters and my biggest wish is to see all of you becoming the better person you can be.
To my beloved colleagues, thank you for being awesome mentors. To all teachers in this stressful (but fulfilling) profession...
