Its finally chillax week. Hello september holidays and meetups!

A much needed break and time to go out after a crazy term. What better way to celebrate than to indulge in some good (brain) food with good company?

My food fiesta started on thursday with my weekly dinner dates with daddy. i was craving so badly for kungfu paradise's lava custard buns (despite my larygnitis, hehehe).

KUNGFU PARADISE

I like having weekday dinner at the bedok point outlet because its peaceful and quiet. The only bad thing is that the carpark's really small and you've got to reach early to get a lot.

To satisfy my craving for custard buns, we ordered 6 of them!

I love how the salted egg custard lava flows out with each bite. OMG! *drools*

I swear i'll never get sick of them. If only they were a bit bigger hehe but.. Not complaining!

The next day, which was also our teachers' day celebration, we had high tea at holiday's inn atrium. Food wasn't fantastic so the colleagues and i went out to holland village for supper. i haven't been there for the longest time and it has become more happening since!

EVERYTHING WITH FRIES

Says it all. But the holland village outlet doesn't just have fries but mains and yummy desserts as well! Me, being weak to desserts, totally fell for their nutella tart with ice cream.

My sinful treat from Ngiap. Their strawberry milkshake was real good and of course, fries is a must! It was nice chilling out till past midnight, which we usually can't do with our never-ending school-work.

Yesterday, the gang and i had dinner at food for thought after watching step up revolution (which is super awesome!). After waiting quite a bit for our table, we quickly decided on getting the rissoto and fries.

Although Ping and i shared the rissoto, both of us couldn't finish it and left buddy to clear the leftovers haha. i like how its not too creamy because i'm not a creamy pasta kinda person. i'd wanted to try their earl grey vanilla milkshake but they didn't have it, so i went ahead with the milk chocolate milkshake.

Which i couldn't finish as well and was happily slurped away by Kat.

Just as i was about to leave, i got a text from Angela asking me if i was at food for thought. Haha! Turns out she was sitting 2 tables away and asked me to take pictures because we haven't seen each other since JC days.

Yup, a very awkward position because she was so tall standing next to me that i looked like a midget. So she volunteered to sit down instead lol. Was great bumping into you, girl!

And today, its japanese lunch with Hui at bugis plus.

YAYOIKEN JAPANESE RESTAURANT

Their set menu's really cheap. We both ordered the mixed toji set for only $13.90.

Happy us. And we concluded that the breaded prawn is the nicest of them all. The katsu pork was not bad too but the beef was a little tasteless. i'll definitely come back again to try out other stuff.

What's up for dessert, then?

Mama's handmade cookies gelato with free toppings! There's this self-service corner for toppings like chocolate rice, rainbow rice and marshmallows. So cool. Ice cream trying portions are served generously too.

Thanks for the treat too babe and all the best for your new career!

If only everyday can be like this, just walking around the empty shopping malls and slacking over coffee. Bliss :)
