And i wish it was longer but i'm contented with a 4-day break, hehehe.
Looking forward to my super long year end holidays and i've already booked my tickets! Going back to kiwi land for summer, which is gonna be an interesting experience because their daytime will only end at 9 pm.
I remember complaining to piggy about the short afternoons during winter. And because we couldn't wake up early enough, our daytime is usually left with a few hours before it turns dark. On one of those days, we decided to catch the sunset at Auckland Sky Tower and it was the best decision ever!
SKY TOWER
At 4 pm, we bought the total tower experience pass for 28 NZD, which gave us access to the main observation deck and sky deck.
The observation deck was pretty crowded for a monday but we still managed to take some decent pictures, without any extras in them.
And some self-shots...
There was this see-through floor which made my knees wobble a little. i'm so scared of heights but piggy wanted a picture because he thought it was cool. So, here goes..
And i got really excited!
Their see-through scopes are really cool because each focuses on an Auckland landmark. The best part? It's free! Unlike the ones at KL Tower and N-Seoul Tower. So i went about peeping into them lol!
We waited for the sun to set...
Until 6 pm. When all the city lights lit up against the dark backdrop. The view at night was really pretty! And to indulge ourselves in this splendid view, we went to the sky lounge for a cuppa hot chocolate.
