Today, we received an email on an educational trip to NZ and some colleagues got excited. For me, NZ is a nostalgic name that brings fond memories and it would be a real spoiler if i had to go there on a work-related mission with all the rush.
During the last trip, i got to meet up with his sis who's been giving us a lot of support and we had an awesome dinner at this french restaurant!
Ile de France
It was an impromptu decision that was made as we drove around new market, scouting for places to eat. We stared at the menu, not knowing how to pronounce anything! The full menu can be found here.
So we sought help from the french waiter who recommended us some really good food.
Our awesome dinner shared by the 3 of us. Escargots for entree and 2 mains, medium-rare angus ribeye steak (which was super super good!) and duck leg confit. For dessert, we had chocolate cake which was sinfully delicious! i'm usually not a chocolate person but there are always exceptions hehe!
It was good to finally meet up with Lisa. We clicked well!
Parnell Chocolate Boutique
Another lovely place that he brought me 2 years ago. The experience was just as sweet, albeit a little nostalgic. i was one happy girl!
Our chocolaty feast. Italian denso is a must! As it was our lunch for the day, we ordered waffles to fill our hungry tummies.
It was between chocolate and caramel, but we decided on the latter. The whipped cream blended in with their vanilla ice cream, haha.
Momo Tea
Okie, the food here isn't great. But its one of the few non-fast food places that open till late. The thing about NZ is that nights are really quiet so its almost like a gem to find a supper place, and an asian one that is! We went there for drinks (not beer though lol) which is the closest alternative to bubble tea.
His yam milk shake and my strawberry drink. i was missing bubble tea in NZ, terrible me! Anyway, i remember being so fascinated with the heart-shaped straw when piggy brought me there for the first time. i still find it a novelty :)
There's so many places that we went together and it'll take me forever to finish posting. I'll continue when nostalgia strikes me again. Man, i left my heart in NZ... Till year end!
CAN'T WAIT!
