Read something heart-warming from my indonesian student who is going through a difficult time and may not be able to continue studying here. These words really touched me:
Ms Chow, all i could say that you are a wonderful teacher, though it was just 3 lessons with you, it seems like we had known each other for a long time, you made me open my heart.
This is the first time i see a teacher trying to do whatever she can for me, i will cry one know, coz i'm touched. Hahaha :)
I learnt a lot from you, thank you so much, for the letter too.

Simple words they may be, they remind me of my purpose here, that teachers aren't just teachers. We teach, love. And i want to make a difference in my students' lives. Even if it is just one student. To me, it is worth it.
