Langham Staycation

I know it's long overdue but i figured i needed a happy entry for my blog. And i've been wanting to post about this!

The boyfriend planned for an early christmas staycation because based on usual year-end meeting dates, i always spend christmas day on the plane. Alone. Haha, i just had to dramatise a bit. So anyway, Sean isn't the sort to plan stuff like this and i was really touched when he took the initiative.

We started off our sunday morning with brunch at buttermilk cafe. One thing that keeps us coming back is their agria hash.

What an appetizing way to start the day! And the weather was lovely, which was really fortunate as it was raining the entire week.

Clear blue skies. Perfect weather to hit the pool! Which we did after checking in. But of course, the highlight was the buffet dinner at eight restaurant. As the name suggests, the hotel's restaurant has 8 different cuisines to choose from.

We were too busy eating and picking out food to take pictures but here's a sneak peep at what they have....

Everything looked so good! Well, they were REALLY GOOD. And they also have a chocolate fondue which is part of the buffet breakfast as well.

We were both so bloated after the dinner that we walked to queens street and walked back. i was surprised that Sean suggested it because he hates walking lol! And it was pretty romantic walking at night, holding hands and well... Digesting our food.

I've never walked in the city at night and boy, it sure looked different. There were christmas lights and decorations too!

And then, we did the most random thing. We plonked ourselves on a bench in the middle of nowhere and chatted. It was quite therapeutic, just sitting around and doing nothing, enjoying each other's company.

Funnily enough, after walking one big round, we came back to the same street and decided to check out the ice cream place that was still crowded with people. It was quite ironic because we ended up ordering a gelato ice cream even though we were supposed to walk off our dinner!

That's green tea gelato ice cream with premium gold flakes cone. i loved how they made it look so christmasy and we even got a discount. Service was awesome and the staff really made our night.

Can't wait to go back in june!
