I'm thankful to Min for being my marking buddy. i mark, she mug. We've been meeting up almost every week day to finish our to-do list at starbucks. And for this reason, i decided to get a starbucks card.
Imma starbucker.
I went to google if there's such a word called starbucker and interestingly, urban dictionary defines it as
Starbucker: a person who sits inside of starbucks and is there only to look intelligent or stylish.
How to spot a starbucker
After finishing their coffee, they don't leave. They may have even fallen asleep. This person may be carrying, holding or wearing any of the following:
- Any Mac product (iPhone checked)
- A "classic" work of fiction
- A biography or documentary of some sort
- Anything eco-friendly (no idea what it means)
- Chico or form-fitting pants
- A shirt or sweater made in solid muted colour, like burgundy or olive green
HAHAHA! This cracked me up big time.
Anyway, there's this starbucks outlet at orchard which is really conducive for doing work. And naturally, the people there are usually students with notes or laptops.
Well... Or teachers?
I became quite tired of starbucks after my 5th time in a week and suggested TCC at velocity instead. It was a more expensive but fruitful afternoon, at our quiet corner on a rainy wednesday.
I like their crisp club chicken sandwich, though i wasn't expecting it to be SO MUCH. i love their cheese and egg mayo. And of course, their chicken patty! i'm definitely getting the same thing on my next visit.
The term is coming to an end and to sum up my feelings for this year...
