Finally for once, i dun have takeaway work to do at home :)

So 3 weeks ago, piggy came over to find me here during the easter weekend. Long weekends are always precious. i'm so glad he's back in malaysia and not a 10-hour plane ride away in new zealand.

During his stay here, we pigged out everyday lol!

ITACHO SUSHI

I was craving for sushi so badly and we joined the mad queue for almost 40 minutes before we got a table. i like their wide assortment of sushi that we don't usually find at sakae sushi or sushi tei. We ordered this sushi set, curry beef rice and some cheese sushi thingy.

And of course, what's a japanese meal without chawanmushi? ^^

After dinner, i was determined to bring him to my fave ice cream shop. As always, with the usual queue, we waited for our precious cup of apple pie a la cold stone.

CONTENTED!

On our way to cineleisure to watch mirror. mirror (which btw is a hilarious show!) we stopped by this shop which had cute little pots of flowers and he got me one...

Swwweeeeettt! ~

The next day, we lunched at parkway parade's...

NEW YORK NEW YORK

There wasn't much foodie options to choose from and we decided to go with some fries, hamburger and pizza!

The pork pizza was super filling as it was so meaty but the burger was awesome. i've never been a fan of western cuisine though so if you do catch me eating these, its because i'm making exceptions! Tsk tsk.

The hardworking boy spent the afternoon at starbucks doing his report while i tried to do my marking. i ended up slacking and shopping, hehehe. Its just so hard to sit still and plow through the stack of scribbled journals!

To reward piggy for his hard work, we had curried soft shell crab for dinner, to satisfy his craving at...

THAI EXPRESS

Apart from our mains, we got their prawn toasties as well. Love their sweet sauce! i strongly recommend this low-profile side dish which is such a tasty gem.

We decided to nua at MOF while waiting for our hunger games movie and ordered, yet another round of food. This time, salmon sashimi and strawberry imo.

And i must add, we were scammed by the UFO catchers at marina square! Its this reverse psychology that's playing on us. Whenever we managed to catch that cursed toy, it'll drop at the most crucial part. RAWRRRR!

ANYWAY. We spent the last day at 112 katong. Its this new shopping mall near parkway parade that i've always wanted to go. Its not a very huge mall, but really cosy and family-friendly. Food-wise?

DING TAI FUNG

Its almost a tradition to have xiao long bao every time he comes over to singapore. Haha! And so, we ordered 10 of those dumplings with a plate of pork chop fried rice.

The foreigner, looking all-so-satisfied, hehe!

We actually ordered those purple yam dumplings as well which were served together and put beneath the steamed ones. No pictures though as we were busy gobbling down all the food.

SEVENTH HEAVEN

Artisanal desserts! Everything on their menu looked good but unfortunately we only had space for one, which was..

This! Pancakes with a scoop of hazelnut and brownie ice cream. Fluffy!

What i like most about 112 katong is their spacious cinema! There's so much leg space to watch and enjoy the movie in comfort. But i dun think that i'll be back anytime soon because i'm too lazy to travel down to the east side. Hehehe.

We left for the airport to check him in and realised that we were super early! The lazy us plonked ourselves down at one of the restaurants even though it was too early for dinner.

SABOTEN

At terminal 1. Basically a place that sells all the tonkatsu stuff. We ordered their tonkatsu sandwich which was surprisingly nice, even though we couldn't imagine how it would taste like.

Tonkatsu overload! Though i must say that its pretty nice but still... TOO MUCH PORK!

And before he left, he left me with this..
