The KL Getaway

I wish i had Hermione's time turner to go back in time. A week ago, i was living life like a tortoise, slow-paced and stress-free...

On the day of departure from singapore, we waited at starbucks with my new favourite - soy green tea latte and rasin bagel, with cream cheese and butter.

I've never liked bagel in the past because they were difficult to bite, especially with my braces on. But crispy, toasted bagel has now become a simple satisfaction, complete with cream cheese.

The first meal we had in malaysia that night was mamak food. And i super love malaysia's mamak food because they are cheap and nice!

I was so hungry that i ordered mee goreng and tom yum seafood soup. He only ordered roti cannai and made me feel like a glutton!

To make things worse. The smell of ramly burger from the stall outside tempted us to buy! Although it was 11 pm, we queued up for our prized burger.

(Im)patiently waiting... But so worth the wait! Beef plus cheese is awesomeness!

For the next 3 days in KL, i ate like a deprived kid. When you have canteen food almost everyday, you need...

FOOD REVENGE!

And that's what we did. When love (for food) takes over, in just 36 hours...

The Garden Cafe, MidValleyI've always wanted to try out this place simply because, i was bought over by their layout. We were there for lunch before shopping and a good meal really gives us the sustainability to walk and shop, haha!

Oh why, we had coffee for an extra boost too.

Soup of the day was cream of mushroom. One of the nicest ones i've had so far. Thickness of the soup was just right, not too watery or chunky.

Potato wedges with breaded crumbs for appetizer. These are not the usual ones we have. We were both hooked on the first bite!

His teriyaki chicken and my steak sandwich, lomofied. Both mains are strongly recommended. Love their sauce! Mmmmm ~

Personally, i dun really like shopping at midvalley but we managed to get his working clothes. So that's great! But our legs were sore from all the walking and we were so very thirsty. This means.. Dessert time!

Melaka ice kachang after shopping! And an excuse to rest our tired legs. Hehehe.

Drove over to bukit bintang after that to do my shopping and catch ghost rider 2 at times square (which was pretty crappy btw). Piggy recommended dinner, which was super satisfying!

Esquire Kitchen, Sungei Wang
Their braised pork belly with mantou is a must-have! We could have just ordered that only because it was so filling! And delicious.

We couldn't finish their fried rice because we were so full. Their xiao long bao was so-so. The ones at crystal jade, ding tai fung and paradise dynasty are way better.

Managed to catch up with Nic kor for awhile before movie. Thankfully he was there to bring us to our cinema because times square has 2 levels of screening theatres. Confusing!

Spent the next day at..

Sunway PyramidMy shopping heaven! And they have almost everything under one roof. Asian avenue at the highest floor is my fave shopping place because its similar to sungei wang, albeit more spacious and organised.

Had lunch at friday's and we (or rather, he) spent a bomb. Keke. Thank youuuuu! ♥

And for 180 RM thereabouts, we had...

Their tennessee steak is really good but pricey. i dun think i'll go back for that kind of price, except maybe on special occasions. i'm good with mamak food! Hehehe.

So anyway, we watched this means war (which is a super funny show!) at beanie plex. Was dying to go after reading Lyn's blog. Haha! For 36 RM, we got a beanie seat for two of us. i was initially disappointed that we couldn't get the center seats but i found out that the sides are actually better because...

The center seats have 2 beanies next to each other. Its good if you're going on double dates i guess. Otherwise, i think its abit strange. Because all the other seats are separate beanies with lots of space. The screen is pretty near too so if you do take the center seats, your neck will need a good massage after that =X

Bangsar
Which has a bit of holland village feel to it. We had our super late dinner at papa rich and finished watching running man on his ipad. The place opens till 1 am on weekends and i like it that its quiet.

We went back on the last day to well.. SHOP! There's lots of boutiques there and we came across this shop on the first level called f block which has really cheap and nice stuff! (cheap here to me is based on after conversion price to SGD)

Had dinner at madam kwan's, which i've heard many good reviews about. And ordered their signature nasi lemak.

It comes with a plate of acha and my stomach was burning from all the spiciness. But the food was oh-so-good.

My food hunts were complete because of the company i had.

I'm glad to have you :)
