MALACCA

To be very honest, i've never been to malacca before this and i was really excited! Yeah, call myself a singaporean right haha.

Nic kor kindly drove us from KL all the way to malacca which took about 2 hours. Before setting off, we had breakfast at this place called canteen, near Lyn's workplace.

My mushroom omelette with toast.

I was stiffing badly on the day we went malacca and had used up all the tissue paper i could find but the flu bug did not dampen my spirits. Being very much a sight-seeing person, i was really looking forward to visiting the historical landmark.

And at around 11.30 am, we finally reached!

Thankfully, we went on a monday, just after malaysia school holidays have ended. Imagine the crowd otherwise, that would make photo-taking very difficult =|

Relics of st. paul's church.

Which can't do without a jumpshot!

This trishaw uncle was so funny. He was actually resting by the side but when he saw me taking picture, he got up and pushed his trishaw into my camera view lol!

Further down, we spotted some trains.

After touring around the area, we crossed over to jonker street and had lunch at this museum cafe called jonker 88 which was home to a chinese family many years ago.

Lucky us managed to get a table in their small seating capacity haha. And i must say, their nonya laksa's really nice!

Its actually sour-spicy, abit like tom yum, exactly the way i like. While kor ordered the baba laksa which is super spicy! i couldn't take it after my first try. So, the best remedy is dessert!

Ice chendol and mango ice kachang to beat the hot weather! i like the fact that it isn't milky, unlike the ones we have here which makes me feel like i'm drinking a can of condensed milk.

There are lots of shops along jonker street as well, selling souvenirs and clothes. Stuff are cute but a little pricey.

Visited the maritime and naval museum. i like their portuguese ship museum!

And i can't decide if this is cool or weird: a ship that has crashed into the museum?

Thumbs up for the unusual design nonetheless.

Dropped by the megamall for some coffee after combing all the museums and i wanted to try their specialty kampung chicken rice ball.

SO CUTE! It tastes exactly like chicken rice. Just drizzle some sauce over the rice ball and eat it with the meat.

I LOVE MALACCA FOOD!

Maybe someday, i'll be back again, on a school excursion!
