If the boyfriend and time permits, i would love to indulge in these things again. There's a reason why people keep going back to the same familiar places. NZ, here i come!
1. Snow-Skiing
During the last winter trip to Queenstown, i had a fabulous time at Coronet Peak! Although it was rather pricey, i really enjoyed the friendly terrain and staff. Love the thrill of sliding down at a high speed. If i could do it again, i would make sure i'm less clumsy =P
2. Cozying Up Over Coffee
Nothing beats having a cup of nice coffee during winter any time, anywhere. As the saying goes, the grass is always greener on the other side, the same seems to apply for the quality of coffee too. Or maybe it's just me, haha. But i find enjoying coffee to be one of the greatest pleasures of life.
3. Waking Up To Brunch
All-day breakfast perks me up when it's well done. i am really thankful to the boyfriend for bringing me to many different places and getting fat together with me, hehe!
Two of my fave orders: kiwi breakfast and salmon eggs benny. i love auntie's home-made breakfast too!
4. Staycation
I really, really love the bed and breakfast accomodation in NZ. Hotels are too mainstream. i like B&B for their quietness and friendly hosts. Tae Gong Gak in Jeju Island and Thames Cotswold Cottage are my happiest holiday stays so far :)
My preference for nature and tranquility seems like a sign of old age?
5. Geothermal Spa
Rotorua's the first place that pops up. Haha. With its unique scent and active geothermal activities, it's the best place for natural spa!
I wish i had a more flattering picture of Polynesian Spa.
The Lost Spring in Thames has a more resort and open feel. The boyfriend doesn't seem to like it as much though because he says the water is dirty. LOL.
6. Fresh Oysters
I would never have enjoyed the blissfulness of big, fresh oysters if Sean's parents did not introduce Clevedon Oysters. Fat, juicy, oysters!
Oysters that are bigger than my palm and freshly caught in the morning. i don't mind getting cholesterol for this, once in a blue blue moon :)
7. Exploring New Places
While this sounds slightly ironic, it's something that we do every time i'm in NZ! i love the excitement of going places and finding hidden treasures. Be it new places, shops or cafes, everything new is a thrill in itself. i've been wanting to skydive for the longest time but it might not be possible for this trip. Shall wait for Ping to go back to NZ with me again! :)
