In my quest to make my area roomy and tidy, i cleared out 3 bags of clothes from my wardrobe today to make space for new clothes that were still lying around in their shopping bags. A 3-door wardrobe proved to be insufficient and the boyfriend said i need a walk-in.
I wished i could if i had a built-in compartment like this...
I'm a sucker for storage space because i can't stand living in a cluttered and constricted space. But the bad news is that i'm quite a hoarder. So creating space is always a challenge. Right now, i'm pretty obsessed with boxes and shelves and i can't wait for them to be delivered!
While shopping online, i came across a few interesting ideas and i don't mind having a bedroom like this...
Clever optimisation of space! But i'm quite fearful of things falling on my head while sleeping, haha. Have had soft toys, wall and ceiling decorations falling on me so far. Thankfully, they were small and light.
And because i've quite a lot of books, i like looking at bookcases too. Wouldn't mind having one like this if i've stairs at home...
Though i'll definitely fix railings along the stairs, lest i fall off. Unless i put a safety net or mattress in front of the bookcase for.. My reading pleasure? Can conveniently fall asleep too when i'm tired from reading. Hur hur.
If i ever have kids, i'll make sure not to have blue rooms for the boys and pink rooms for the girls. It's so stereotypical and boring. Rather, i want their rooms to be colourful and happy, just like how i want their childhood to be.
My rule of thumb for bedroom is to go cheery! Many people go zen and minimalist these days, which is perfectly fine. But i like to keep the colours warm and happy. Why go back to a gloomy room when life is already so gloomy?
