Having NZ food craves now...

Really miss the food, shopping and lovely accompany. Can't wait to go back at the end of the year again for summer!

I like winter in Auckland because it isn't too cold, unlike Seoul. And i love, love, LOVE THEIR BEEF! Fast food never tasted better. My fave is BURGER FUEL, where burgers are as huge as my face! Their most addictive burger is...

Wagyu beef burger! Just thinking about the sauce makes me hungry! i never thought i could finish a burger this big, but it was too good to be wasted. There's this cardboard thingy to hold the burger so that the stuff inside doesn't fall out. My hand was too small to grab the burger properly so i think this seemingly useless-looking cardboard is really helpful. Hehe!

BURGER KING there is pretty different from ours too. Just compare the size of their normal burgers.

Yup. You get my point. But what makes their burgers really good is their beef.

I love their hawaiian chicken burger which has onion rings inside! All drinks are refillable too. i guess its a good thing that we don't have it here because cheapo people will just drain everything and refuse to leave.

The thing about NZ is that there's actually many Asians living there. Koreans, Japanese, Chinese... Which means there's a variety of Asian food. i really love Asian food and i can't imagine having steak or fish and chips everyday. What's cool is the authenticity. When we go into a Japanese restaurant, all the staff there are Japanese who speak Japanese. Unlike Singapore. i don't think i need to give explicit examples lol.

So anyway, we went to this Japanese restaurant in the city (i can't remember the name) and the food was so satisfying! Salmon sashimi is a must!

Generous servings of chicken meat with yummy sauce. NZ portions are always huge and we both couldn't finish our rice.

Then, there's this Korean restaurant which we found while walking around. And everyone there were Koreans, including the customers. i felt like i was in Korea. Haha. The food's authentic too and this was what we had...

With lots of complimentary side dishes. i love the egg, potato and salad! But feels like something is missing... SAMGYUPSAL! :(

BBQ pork (this is like the most well-loved dish because every table ordered it), ginseng chicken soup and kimchi pancake!

Piggy brought me to this really good sushi place called BRUCE LEE SUSHI which has to-die-for sushi! They have the typical ones but what i like most is their sushi specialties with crispy bread crumbs.

I kinda think the owner's a little narcissistic to have his face plastered everywhere in the shop but i guess, that's effective marketing. Even the logo looks like him.

Striking resemblance with Taiwanese host, Jacky Wu. Both are zhi lian. Match: 99% (btw its miso soup inside the cup, not coffee lol!)

I'm so craving for the sushi now but i'm just going to sleep to stop feeling hungry. Pretty much done with the fast food and Asian foodie we had in NZ. Shall continue the rest again. Laters!
