Last day of chinese new year already!

All the mad rush in trying to finish my assignments made time whizz past just like that. Gawd. i wished i was busily collecting ang pows and pigging out at chinese restaurants instead.

I mean. Dun we just love chinese food? Especially when its paradise inn and paradise dynasty! *自 high*

初一

Had dinner at paradise inn, nex! Every restaurant was packed with chinese families that day and we waited 30 mins for our table.

But the food made up for it! And the staff were really warm. i mean. Everyone looked so happy, especially the aunties. Maybe cause they can siam one day of giving out ang pows. HAHAHA. If its me, i'll probably sulk and pull a long face for having to work when i should be collecting ang pows lol!

Anyway. The wait made us so hungry that we ordered a lot of food...

Our pot of ginseng chicken soup. The staff took so much initiative in helping us scoop it out then i didn't have chance to play with the ladle hehe.

My bowl of soup. The whole pot was enough for everyone to have two servings.

Super yummy 扣肉! Super love their sauce and 馒头! *drools*

Supreme seafood fried rice shared by parents and me plus bro's salted fish fried rice.

Steamed minced meat with chesnut and salted egg. A must try for people who have salty taste buds haha!

Coffee spare ribs which was very nice too!

My fave dish on the table: CEREAL MILK PRAWNS! A clever use of sugar and milk that makes it highly addictive!

*nom nom nom*

元宵

Had dinner with daddy at paradise dynasty and thankfully we reached before the dinner crowd. i insisted on trying their assorted 小笼包...

Colourful on the outside. But like what xue mei said, the original ones are better. Got scammed haha!

Ordered 狗不理包子 which i thought were pretty nice.

But daddy didn't think so. Hmm..

Smiliarly, i didn't like this jellyfish thingy but he loved it haha!

This shanghainese fried rice cake is super nice! We ordered this dish in memory of my grandma who used to cook this every chinese new year.

Daddy's non-spicy beef ramen and my braised pork belly ramen. Their pork bone soup base is love! We just couldn't bring ourselves not to finish it. Hee.

And i love how the restaurant has a tea pouring guy who goes around refilling people's tea cups.

Is it just me or does the tea can look like a watering can with a super long beak?

Festive period may be over but that doesn't stop us from nom-ing nice food! We all need a little foodie motivation in life. Tsk tsk!
